What is counselling?
Counselling provides a safe, confidential place to explore your thoughts and feelings.
Perhaps you have a specific problem or issue that wants attention?
You may feel in distress, overwhelmed by feelings or a general sense of uneasiness or dissatisfaction with your life?
Problems may be showing up in your personal relationships; at home or at work; in changes of mood or outbursts of anger. You may also be experiencing physical symptoms such as: tiredness, disturbed sleep, eating problems, increasing your use of drugs or alcohol to cope.
Counselling can help you understand how past experiences, worries about the future or lack of confidence may be affecting your life. How you respond to life events and explore the way you relate to yourself and others.
Counselling can help you:
- Overcome depression, anxiety and panic
- Manage overwhelming emotions
- Cope with chronic pain or illness
- Feel more comfortable in your body
- Communicate thoughts and feelings effectively
- Make confident decisions
- Achieve personal goals
- Break through stuck patterns
- Build meaningful relationships
Counselling provides space to pause, reflect, and gain fresh perspectives, enabling positive change and personal growth.
